CentOS (64bit) install not working
Posted by Andre Kuehnemund on 31 March 2014 12:50

Q: I installed the required 32-bit libraries, but my P5 still won't not launch. What's going on?

A: For a list of the required 32-bit libraries for CentOS 6.4, please see here:

http://portal.archiware.com/support/index.php?/default_import/Knowledgebase/Article/View/37/0/shared-objects-on-64-bit-linux-systems

Please note that this list will change as CentOS evolves. We are unable to test every Linux distribution and release.

A look at the P5 log (by default: /usr/local/aw/log/lexxsrv.log) revealed that TCP port 9000 was already being used by CentOS. Therefore, a different port had to be chosen for P5. Please see here:

http://portal.archiware.com/support/index.php?/default_import/Knowledgebase/Article/View/14/0/setup-server-wide-options

File '/usr/local/aw/config/lexxsrv.8000' was renamed to 'lexxsrv.8100' and P5 was restarted (sudo /usr/local/aw/stop-server, sudo /usr/local/aw/start-server)

This solved the "listen (127.0.0.1,9000) failed: 'Address already in use'" error.

To be able to access the P5 web interface, the firewall had to be disabled or a firewall exception had to be created for port 8100.
